Our Workshop (Before)

Posted by Heather on 8/6/2010 to Life in the Shop

In all of the commotion of the summer, we moved our workshop from a 400 square foot space to a 1500 square foot space (with some space still to grow).  The space took a lot of DIY handy work (by D mostly) but it is coming around nicely.

For the past 20 years the workshop was an unfinished space with every inch housing a metal fabricating shop complete with metal scraps all over the floor and metal dust covering everything.

You can see some of D’s handy work already here.  He cleared out some “stuff,” cased in the french doors, taped, mudded, and painted 1 wall.

Behind the boxes and stuff is the antique wood burning stove that comes with the space!

Here are the colors that we’re going with:  Enamelware for most of the wall surfaces & Aegan Blue for our accent walls.  So far the colors & white trim are cleaning up the place, beautifully!
