About Rinse

So you want to know a little more about Rinse Soap?

Rinse Soap was founded in 2003 only after a simple hobby turned into something HUGE!

Our founder and head formulator, Heather, was in desperate need of a creative outlet and had always loved to be pampered, so it made perfect sense for her to try her hand at soapmaking.

After a lot of research and only a few batches, she was hooked. The more knowledge she gained about oils, butters, herbs, essential oils and other additives, she found herself with more soap on her hands than she could handle. Thank goodness for friends, family and co-workers who were very willing to help her unload her wares.

You would think this might be the end of her conundrum (she did too), but it was just the beginning. Once her soaps were in the hands of others, they started to ask her for more. "My mother would love this!", they would say while asking her for gift baskets.
Accessories

There was no turning the pleading crowd down, so she did what any other soapmaking-addicted girl would do: she made soap (and lots of it), gift baskets and a slew of other products that most could only dream of.

A vacation saw the conception of a great business plan. A business name: Rinse Handmade Soap Co. (soon shortened to Rinse).

The ball was rolling and the soaps were selling just as fast as they were curing. Something needed to give, she couldn't continue at the rate she was going working with motocross during the day and Rinse at night (although you would think it was the perfect combination of dirt and soap).

Then one fateful day, she left the corporate world behind for the cleaner, better smelling business of developing Rinse and its bath & body products.

The rest is just a bit of history...

About Our Products

Freshness

So, what's so special about the products from Rinse Soap, you ask??

Our soaps & bath products are as natural as you can get (with the exception of some of the most delectable fragrances we use) and we use only the best ingredients we can get our grubby little paws on.

Now we're sure you figured we were going to say that. But did you bet on this...

Did you know that most of the bars of soap you purchase aren't soap at all? In fact, the products you think are soap can't even have the word soap on their labels.

Think about it, commercial soaps are more often than not referred to as moisturizing bars, nourishing bars, beauty bars, family bars, cleansing bars... you get the picture. The word "soap" is nowhere to be found on their labels or in the bars.

Handmade soap is soap and retains its glycerin. Glycerin is one of the best-known humectants (attracts moisture to the skin). It is often extracted during the process of manufacturing commercially made soap (to decrease the weight of the bar for shipping purposes,) then sold as a valuable by-product (to none other than the cosmetic companies - a.k.a. the producers of moisturizers.)

Sure, every business owner cares about their business, but when we say "We Care" we mean we care about you, your needs and the fit between you & our products.

If you have a skin condition, we want to have products that won't irritate you, or your skin. If you prefer your products to be vegan... we want you to have a selection.
We want you to be able to read our labels.
We want you to be able to afford to pamper yourself in the lap of luxury, so jump on in!

We do our homework on everything we do. At least there are no student loans to pay for... but there may be a few library fines.

We are constantly looking for information on the ingredients we use and innovative ingredients to use. The never ending searches include: properties and benefits of ingredients, competitive prices for our ingredients (so we can pass the savings on to you), and ideas for what we should do next.

Ok, so we'll get off of our soap box (no pun intended) for the time being.
But just know... this stuff is GOOD!
